Position Description: Arts Missoula works to connect art and culture through education, advocacy, and community in the city of Missoula. Their Global & Cultural Affairs program promotes intercultural awareness and global competence development. The AmeriCorps member at Arts Missoula will serve directly with 3rd-12th grade students at several area elementary schools, as well as with senior students at Hellgate High School in Missoula. The member will help to increase the cultural and global competencies of students by developing and delivering activities designed to reduce anti-Asian and other hate commentary, fostering positive communication strategies, and inspiring interest in post-secondary education.
