DeSmet 8th graders are headed to Washington D.C. on May 5-May 8 to experience the United States capitol and learn about America’s government. This is the first time the 8th graders will travel across the country for their end of the year trip. The students worked very hard to raise the money necessary for this once-in-a-lifetime trip. For some, this will be the first time leaving the state. For others, it will be the first time they have ever been in a plane. The class will be posting more pictures when they return.
